Why Flashlight Called Flashlight?

Flashlight also referred to as a torch, is a hand-held electronic lighting tools. In Britain and all English speaking countries outside North America, torch usually means a flashlight, and a torch which uses fire as its light-source is often called a "burning torch" to distinguish. The term flashlight is used mainly in the United States and Canada. In other English-speaking countries, the most common term is torch or electric torch.

A typical flashlight has a battery-powered light bulbs and by focusing mirrors, and a handle used for hand-held type housing.
    Although the design is fairly simple, it has been invented in the late 19th century, because it must be combined with the invention of the battery and light bulb. In the early, because of lack of batteries store electricity, so in English it is called “flashlight”, meaning a short light.
